What is it that your soul desires? Do you have things that you long to do?
I know I do. I’m ashamed to say it, but it’s been seven years that I’ have had the desire to write a few books. And to this day, I don’t have any manuscripts close to being finished.
I know I’m not the only one. What are those deep seeded desires that you have inside of you that are God given? Soul cravings, is what I call them. What are yours? I meet people all over the world (not just in my city, state, or church, but literally people all over the world) who have these soulful desires, and nothing to show for them.
I was in Cape Town South Africa and met a man, whose soul desire erupted when he found out I was from America. He saw the division of the US on the news and got overwhelmingly excited talking about his desire to be involved in peace and unity.
What are your soul’s cravings? What does your soul crave to do? Proverbs 13:4 says, “The Soul…craves…”
First of all, I don’t think we see our cravings come to pass, because
a) we are unaware that soul cravings exist,
b) we don’t know ours specifically
c) we don’t articulate them clearly(write them down).
Secondly, most of us don’t see our soul cravings come to pass, because of what Proverbs 13:4 says in it’s entirety… “The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothingBut the soul of the diligent is made fat.”
Notice it doesn’t say, “the soul of the sinner.” It says “the soul of the sluggard.” You can be a Christian who is “saved, sanctified…” and a SLUGGARD! [Don’t shoot!] So a follower of Jesus can crave/want great & awesome things to happen, and nothing happens. This is because “nothing” is being done.
The bottom line is, if you want to see some of your soul cravings come to pass, you have to be diligent & do something! Get busy doing it!
Here are 2 simple steps to Ctrl Alt Del the sluggard and become one who is diligent.
- Write your Soul Cravings down (jasonearls.com/reset)
- Do Something to make it happen!
